HQ Company, 9th Armored Division "Envelope''

This is an original censored WWII Army Cover dated Januari 26, 1945 and is franked with stamp #C25a "Air Mail". The envelop was sent by Pvt. Victor Lenar to Misses Bertha Lenar, 2166 E. Cumberland St., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Nevertheless the envelope contains nothing. The address the envelope was sent from was APO#259 which was in Amnéville, France on this date.

Victor Lenar (#33099610) was a member of Hq. Company, 9th Armored Division, Postal Section at the time this letter was written. Victor Lenar from Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, was born on December 15, 1919 in Philadelphia. He had a 2 years of high school education and his occupation was listed as "Tinsmiths, coppersmiths, and sheet metal workers". He entered the service as a draftee on August 18, 1941 at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.

Victor Lenar died on March 22, 1989 at 69 years old.
